CUP

One morning during Covid I had just finished my lengthy morning sacred rituals and sat down to drink my morning tea when I noticed a disturbing headline on my computer. It was another in a long list of things I felt were wrong with the world and I became upset with the perpetrators. When all of a sudden Shaman Jesus came walking through my glass sliding door carrying a chalice. He said to me, “Take this cup, drink ye all of it. Cup, C U P, unending ever-expanding Compassion, Understanding and Patience with all life!” I said, “Even for them?” meaning the perpetrators. He said, “For all life!”

I changed that day. I drink from this CUP everyday as a ritual of remembrance to have unending, ever-expanding compassion, understanding and patience with all life. The Masters ask us to love and bless the adversary and the adversity.

When you love and bless the adversary and the adversity, you stop being a victim. You take charge of your own peace and turn stumbling blocks into steps forward. And the world becomes a better place.
