Is the Earth alive? Is the Universe sacred?

Research indicates that at the more evolved or expanded stages of human development, ecocentric and cosmocentric, our awareness can reopen to a realization of the sacred living earth and universe in which we live, move and have our being. While it appears that this awareness has its root in the ancestral animistic awareness common to early peoples, it is in fact an evolutionary twist, a product of a trans-rational or more-than-rational awareness as perceived by the evolving and integrated body~heart~mind. This sensibility, having within it the capacity for interspecies communication is a keystone to creating a sustainable future and a source of energy and inspiration for creating a world that works for us all.
