Earn Income While You Study

Mentor Program
The Mentor Program is designed to offer career opportunities to our graduates as well as an opportunity to earn an income while students study.  The program is divided into three stages; Facilitator, Guide and Mentor.

Facilitator
Once a student has satisfactorily completed a course they are eligible to facilitate that course work for new students in their developing tributary.* Students serve as facilitators until they have finished Level II of the core curriculum. Students serving as facilitators for students in Level I courses receive 50% of student’s total course fees.  Students serving as facilitator for students in Level II courses receive 60% of the student’s total course fees. Students serving as facilitator may facilitate 3-6 students during Level I and 6-9 students in Level II.

Facilitator’s Role
Facilitators are there to support the studies of new students in their tributary. The key responsibility of the Facilitator is to develop and maintain mutually enhancing relationship between the Facilitator and the students and between the students themselves and provide supportive positive comments and input. Facilitators should utilize their Mentors immediately downstream in their tributary for advice and support.

Guide
Once a student has satisfactorily completed all course work in Level II they take on the role of Guide for students in Level II and Level III.  Guides may facilitate and guide 9-12 students, 12 being the maximum number of students a guide may have in their tributary until graduation.  Once a student serves in the role of Guide they receive 60% of all student’s course fees at all levels.

Guide’s Role
In the role of guide the student continues developing and maintaining mutually enhancing relationships and providing support of the student’s studies in their tributary, but now begins to develop their own skills as an educator/counselor/therapist and begins to notice patterns and blockages that may appear in the writings of their students. Level II and Level III courses are designed to deepen the student’s self-discovery and personal development. When a Guide notices the appearance of a repeating pattern in the student’s work that may indicate a blockage to growth and development of the particular student the Guide is to communicate with their own downstream Mentor for advice in helping the student with their growth.  The Guide then responds to the student in an appropriate and supportive manner.

Mentor
Once the student graduates and serves as a Mentor they can enroll unlimited students in their tributary. Mentors receive 70% of all student course fees.

Mentor’s Role
Mentors become independent contractors and serve as core faculty for U of Earth. They continue to provide the services described under both Facilitator and Guide. Mentor by definition means a wise and trusted counselor or teacher and this is exactly what we mean by the role of U of Earth Mentor.  As a nature-based wisdom school promoting personal development our graduates will naturally unfold as wise and trusted counselors and teachers.  The Mentor has a responsibility to see and believe in the potential of the students and is dedicated to assisting students in fulfilling their life purpose and their great promise.

*Tributary
Tributary is the term we use to refer to a Student/Mentor’s developing relationships with new students that provide educational and mentoring services to members.

**Additional Potential Income
Simple math suggests that the potential income from the expansion of our “Rivers of Life” economy to both the student and UE is a bit staggering for us who never sought wealth.  The 40% that goes to U of Earth from student tributary streams will go to develop UE EcoRetreat centers.
